Welcome to Consultant of the Month (COTM) Group where we not only put the "FUN" in Net-Working, but hope to help fellow direct sales consultants build their client base, increase sales, meet potential recruits, advertise their business, network with other amazing women in the business and be a part of a group of women who care about helping one another. My co-founder and I created this group in April 2008 in the effort to help stay at home moms find support in networking so they could still build their businesses as well. That idea has since grown beyond our belief and we are NOW helping hundreds of professional women in direct sales grow. My Co-Founder and I believe that success is not only in numbers, but by the relationships we build. In supporting others, you will ultimately contribute to YOUR success! Reinvention is a true key to continual success and we have to find new and creative ways to get our businesses and names out there. COTM is just the group to help you do that. In COTM, we believe in doing all we can to help YOU grow and along the way, we try to make it as fun as we can. We know how much of a struggle it can be to grow a business, build relationships and stay at it each and every day, so that is why we have designed COTM Group as such and know you will benefit in more ways then you can imagine. COTM is NOT your typical networking company; in fact, quite the opposite. In joining as a member, we believe you understand the commitment, dedication and opportunities. We are a family, NOT just groups of Numbers. COTM is the place for you if you are looking to not only grow your business, but meet people who can change your life and help you grow on a long term basis and NOT just for the short term.

Rules
Consultant of the Month Group Rules
The purpose of this group is so that we can each take turns showing off our product lines, but also get a chance to make friendships with other consultants and build a strong support system where we support and refer each other. We won't be doing only shows, vendor events as well & possible fundraisers, but will also be bringing ideas as to how to benefit each other's businesses. We can bring up game ideas, presentation ideas, dollar store prizes, etc, via emails and before or after actual parties (when its just us and not other guests who just came for the party). We do meet in person (at the hosts place of party) and I do ask that everyone places an order every month and comes to at least ten times a year as this group's point is to support each other AND build some lasting business relationships.
1. The minimum requirement is a 20.00 purchase (before tax and shipping) from the COTM each month, except for the month you are the COTM. If you are unable to attend the party in a given month, it is your responsibility to get with the host or consultant and order for that month by the party date. For clarification, the purchase must be made and PAID prior to or on the party date and NO later, ensuring everyones order can be placed and delivered in a timely manner. Each COTM member is required to attend a minimum of 10 shows per year with 2 shows that can be ordered via catalog or online.
2. Each host is encouraged to collect outside sales on their own for their party. An average party is much more than that and I want each host and consultant to benefit from the party as much as possible. The host walks away with all of the free products earned for their effort.
3. In joining this group, members are required to participate in this group for a full 12 months in order to be fair to all members. The organizer/co-organizer cannot guarantee attendance and cannot be liable for disputes among group members.
4. You can book a separate show if you choose, and you can invite members of this group, but they are not required to buy from that show.
5. Please keep PERSONAL comments and conversations between yourselves in a private setting, and allow this group to remain a safe and comfortable place for business associates to come for useful business-related information, creative ideas and encouragement. There will be NO GOSSIP tolerated. We are here to make lasting friendships and to support each other and we are all adults.
6. There is no soliciting of ones business and/or hostess benefits while at another COTMs mandatory party for the group. Such behavior is viewed as disrespectful to the group and is grounds for removal.
7. There is a monthly group fee of $10 which goes to site quarterly costs, copying costs, advertising fees, mommy packs, etc......
8. You will need to provide at each meeting 20 flyers/business cards/catalogs whatever you want to highlight your business as my co-organizer & I will pass out monthly Mommy Packs to random locations. Such locations will include different neighborhoods, random local businesses, etc. This is a way to promote our businesses to hopefully increase sales and meet new people who may be interested in our business. I provide a cover letter in each pack describing the group and purpose.
9. Addendum (please see below)
The organizer/co-organizer reserves the right to remove any member(s) from the group at any time for failure to follow the above rules.
Addendum:
It has come to Bridget and my attention in the past few months that additional rules, and thus new changes, are critical to further the success of the groups. When we say further the success, we ultimately mean in every way, but the focus and purpose of this addendum is geared towards the success of closing a COTM Mandatory party on time. This addendum was in no way created to punish any COTM member single handedly. In turn, it was created to ensure each COTMs party success and overall respect for one another when it is our turn to showcase our products.
1. You can either provide a Credit Card OR Check made payable to me for $37 OR provide $37 in cash. This info will be kept in a secure file and confidential, of course. The purpose is to secure the COTM payment if order and payment is not received by close of party date in lieu of me getting on the phone and sending emails the very next day to try and collect those orders.
2. Each COTM order is to be MADE and PAID for by midnight of the party date.
a. Ex: cookie lee party on 4.18.09 (order will be considered late at 12:01am 4.19.09 and therefore will be subjected to the following penalities)
3. Order a product of your choice from the consultant of the month
4. Payment to be made at time of placement OR at worse, 12:00am of party date
IF order and payment are NOT received by 12:01am proceeding the party, the following penalties will be in place:
1. Credit Card or Check (that is on file) will be run or deposited for the following amounts:
a. $20 for minimum purchase
b. Plus Tax (8.75 of $20) = $1.75
c. Shipping ((depends on the COTM and their company policies)
d. $10 administration fee
e. Grand Total will be no less than $31.75 (+ shipping)
2. A Gift Certificate (GC) will be issued to the consultant(s) who are charged for non-placement and payment so they can then use it at their leisure at a later time
3. Cash for $37 is also acceptable and will be returned if member leaves group if money never was used
4. IF the Credit Card or Check are declined or returned OR I simply do not have anything on file from you (as we will NOT force anyone to fill in a form but it is for your best interest so you are not removed from the group), the following will be in effect:
a. $5 a day late fee added to the minimum purchase (max is 5 days so $25)
b. $15 administration fee
c. You will have 5 days from party date to place order and pay (you will have to add on $5 per day you are late ex: if you order on the 3rd day after the party, your minimum purchase to the COTM will be $35) + $10 administrative fee
5. You will get an email from me indicating all of this and a reminder. I will also make phone calls
6. FAILURE to place order and pay by the 5th day following the party is grounds for removal
7. You can pay the money that is due consultant to her directly and money due for administration fees to me, Lisa Brewer via paypal ( lisa.brewer_mindspring.com ), Credit Card or check mailed to me at 37212 Ascella Ln, Murrieta, Ca 92563
8. Everyone will be asked to sign that they have read and understand the addendum to the COTM Rules

About Us
This group is designed for Independent Consultants of Direct Sales Companies. This is a group is for work at home MOMS and all professional women who are looking to not only grow their business, but showcase their products, meet other consultants, build new relationships, do outdoor events, participate in fundraisers, be rewarded for simply being a member & help to promote their own business as well as the group. My Co-Founder & I have 50+ groups and growing Because of the rapid success, we decided to branch out into new territory and expand earlier this year. You can view all our different groups and locations by clicking on the Groups tab on the home page. We have a 12+ members in each group & one rep per company. This group is really only for the serious consultant who is looking to participate in the group & really use it to their advantage. All groups will require an annual fee of $40 and a monthly fee of $10 (covers all admin costs and site fee as I do advertising for the group, lot's of copying, etc.) there is also a monthly minimum purchase of $20 a month before tax/shipping to the consultant of the month. I joined the Consultant of the Month group as a brand-new Tastefully Simple consultant. I am also a stay-at-home mom of 2 young boys, ages 2 and 6 months. I joined the COTM team of Chapter Presidents in May '09. I am the Chapter President of the Victorville COTM group. We have an awesome group of women that are very supportive of each other. I represent Arbonne International in this group. I have introduced my product line to more people and have signed up 2 Preferred Clients from this group. It is an awesome venue to network in.
